Mantic Publishing.
Books that break the mainstream narrative. We break and build the idea with the author until the argument holds.
Some arguments cannot survive being shorter.
An argument that fits in a post collects agreement. One that has to hold for three hundred pages gets found out. Mantic is the Center's press, wholly owned and edited independently, and it publishes few books because finding out takes time.
No subject list. One test.

Contrarian, not trendy.
No subject list. Geopolitics, technology, society, spirituality, and the places they cross. What matters is that the argument runs against the mainstream and holds under pressure. It should hold the same in five minutes as in five hundred years.

Someone who will defend it.
Mantic breaks and builds the idea with the author before a word of the manuscript is fixed. That process only works with a writer who intends to stand behind the finished position in public. In special cases Mantic works with an author who is already published.
First title, under contract
The Transcendence of Technology: A Spiritual Return for Humanity
An argument that the question technology forces on us is not economic or political but spiritual, and that the answer is a return rather than an advance.
Mantic publishes few books and works on each one for a long time. This is the first, and the list will stay short.
Follow the listFewer books. More work on each.
Editorial that argues back
The idea is broken and rebuilt with the author before the manuscript is fixed. Nobody at Mantic will tell you an argument is ready when it is not.
A seat on the podcast
Published Mantic authors appear on The Ayush Prakash Podcast for a long-form conversation about the book with an audience that will push on it.
The Center behind it
Mantic titles carry into the Center's convenings, briefings and institutional work. A book is where the argument starts, not where it stops.
How to start
Send us something we can argue with.
Not a manuscript. Not a proposal. The idea, why the mainstream has it wrong, and what you know that most people do not.

That is the whole test. Everything else about Mantic follows from it.
