Director

Ayush Prakash is Director of the Center for Innovating the Future, where he leads its programs, publishing, and partnerships.

He is the author of AI for Gen Z, first published in 2021 with a second edition in 2024, a study of how digital technology shapes cognition, identity, and work for the generation raised inside it. He has co-authored work with Karl Friston in The Montréal Review and with Ran D. Anbar, MD, in Psychology Today. He hosts The Ayush Prakash Podcast. Guests include Avi Loeb, Karl Friston, and Yaron Brook.

He is also Director of Corporate Strategy at New Sapience, an artificial intelligence company, where he leads strategy and operations. He holds a BA in Philosophy from Toronto Metropolitan University.

Aseem Prakash

Founder and Director · 2010 to 2025

Established the Center in Toronto in December 2010 and led its work on how organizations and the people inside them adapt to automation. He presented at RoboBusiness and at International Robotics Week in Delft, was interviewed by Robotics Business Review on coexistence with robots, and in 2025 created and hosted Coexisting with AI: Succeeding In the New Era at Microsoft Reactor Toronto.

Abishur Prakash

Director · 2012 to 2022

Led the Center's work on the geopolitics of technology. He appeared as a witness before the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology in February 2017, and his writing from that period appeared in Scientific American, CNBC, Fortune, Nikkei Asia and the South China Morning Post. His work was cited by the Brookings Institution and the Foreign Policy Research Institute.
