Principles.

CIF is built on a small number of commitments. They determine what the Center publishes, who it convenes, and what it declines.

The work has no sponsor.

CIF does not accept funding that carries editorial conditions, and does not produce research on behalf of the organizations it studies.

Research is built to be used.

Every research programme, publication, and convening is designed to produce something a specific person or institution can act on.

CIF publishes what it finds.

Where evidence contradicts a position, the position changes. Where a question cannot be answered, the Center says so.

The questions are not seasonal.

The Center is built for sustained attention over decades, not for cycles of announcement and retreat.

See the work these commitments produce.

Research and advocacy, publishing, and media, each held by the Center and accountable to the same standard.
